The overall objective of Flex5Gware is to deliver highly reconfigurable HW platforms together with HW-agnostic SW platforms targeting both network elements and devices taking into account increased capacity, reduced energy footprint, as well as scalability and modularity, to enable a smooth transition from 4G mobile wireless systems to 5G.
TST is present in most WPs of the project, covering sensor-related topics such as:
- Sensor perspective in the scenario and architecture definition
- Collaboration on the study and design of a comprehensive HW architecture oriented to enhance modularity and cover the inclusion of external sensing devices
- Collaboration on the study, design and development of HW agnostic SW and APIs in charge of configuration/repurposing/data retrieval in sensors
- PoC integration activities to test the sensors in identified scenarios combined with the rest of the subsystems
