SEA-WEDGE

SEA-WEDGE is aiming at the development of a sea wave energy harvesting system, i.e. transforming energy from sea tides into electric energy. The main goal is to develop a punctual absorber with a different approach to the usual one, i.e. base the electric generation in a reluctance switched lineal machine which is directly coupled to the mobile parts of the absorber, improving the global performance of the process compared to the hydraulic solution.

TST will be in charge of the design and development of the communications system between the buoy and the ground control center. This will include transmission via radio-modems of signals for monitoring and control (measurements, alarms, commands, etc) between both parts of the system.
